your life
peeling
like skin
 
if we are burned we notice
the large pieces of us we are losing
our skin peels like tissue-paper, gossamer and delicate
our seamless wrapping
holds us
 
but it is at every moment
we are
flaking away
 
new skin
is already there
underneath
to protect us
beautify us
and be kissed
