A Family Tradition, 2011

I took out my earplug but there was no longer silence.
We used to go into churches to listen to the silence.

It's a family tradition,
my brother & myself.

This is supposed to be for me only.
But tourists keep coming in.

She said she has to do something creative
& it took awhile for her to give up her dream.

I have nothing else but this.

A few words, put together
could change everything.
It always has.

Instead of moving, I'll publish a book.
If I left, I'd make more things.

I didn't understand this until someone kind
showed me how it all worked, like this.

You see, my mind does not work like this,
it does not follow yours.
I have learned to stall the thoughts, suspended.

It takes a jack hammer just to figure this out
but its really just a switch
to open.

(Please help me tell them that I love them
& they are the only reason that I can find to live.)

He was right.

Doing the exercises changed my life.
